THE PROCESS
The focus group is a straightforward, professional, and fully in-person process. Confidentiality and work-product protection are paramount and non-negotiable.
1
Confidential Consultation —
We discuss your case goals, timeline, key issues to test, and preferred location.
2
Recruitment & Screening —
Participants are carefully recruited and screened to match your venue’s jury pool demographics. All participants sign confidentiality agreements and agree to disclose their participation (and any case information learned) if they later appear in your case’s jury venire.
3
Preparation & Dry Run —
We refine the neutral presentation of your case.
1. The Session
A neutral presentation of the facts, exhibits, and issues is followed by open, free-flowing discussion. Targeted probing questions are presented to the focus group and challenging participants from a devil’s advocate perspective brings real arguments from the other side to surface. You observe reactions in real time. All sessions are filmed, and you receive a full copy of the recording afterward.
2. Debrief , Written Report, Transcript, and Video
An immediate debrief call is followed by a comprehensive written report containing key findings, verbatim insights, patterns, and strategic recommendations. In addition, we provide, as part of our professional fee a video of the focus group and a complete transcript. Selected video clips from the focus group can also be utilized effectively in mediation to demonstrate real juror perspectives.
TIMELINE
Typically 2 to 4 weeks depending on complexity. Rush options are available.
LOCATION
Sessions can be held in Shreveport, or we can travel to your location. Two hours of travel time (each way) is included in our standard fee.
